Injection site rotation planner
Select the areas you use, choose how many sub-sites each is divided into, and the planner generates a fixed rotation order. The point is determinism: a written sequence removes the memory requirement, which is the actual reason rotation fails in practice.
How the order is generated
Each selected area is divided into the number of sub-sites you specify, and the planner interleaves them so consecutive entries are in different areas wherever possible. The result is a fixed-length cycle: follow it in order and every sub-site is used once before any repeats.
The specific pattern matters far less than having one that is written down. See injection site rotation for why this is a recording problem rather than a discipline problem.
Using it
- Select only areas you actually use, and that your product's instructions permit.
- Choose sub-site granularity — four per area is a common, workable division.
- Follow the order, and record which site each entry used.
- Skip and note any site that is bruised, tender or thickened, rather than injecting on schedule regardless.
Frequently asked questions
How many injection sites should I rotate between?
Enough that no single spot is reused frequently. Dividing each area you use into several sub-sites and cycling through them systematically is a common approach; the exact number matters less than following a written order rather than improvising.
Why not just remember where I injected last time?
Because within a couple of weeks nobody can reliably recall which quadrant they used. Rotation fails on recall, not intention, which is why a written order and a recorded site outperform good intentions.
Should I rotate between areas or within one area?
Both, on different timescales — moving a short distance within an area between consecutive injections, and moving between areas on a longer cycle. Where a product's own instructions specify an approach, follow those.
