U-100 syringe

A U-100 insulin syringe is calibrated so that 100 marked units correspond to 1 mL of liquid volume. Its barrel markings can be converted directly to mL: one marked unit equals 0.01 mL. The markings are not micrograms or milligrams and do not identify what is in the syringe.
