Protocol positions itself as a peptide and protocol tracker available across platforms including Android. PepCycle is iPhone-only, and that is a deliberate consequence of storing the log on-device and syncing through your personal iCloud rather than a server. Which matters more is a genuine trade-off, not a feature gap.
The architectural trade-off
There is a real engineering reason most cross-platform health trackers store data on a server: it is the only practical way to keep an iPhone and an Android phone in sync. That decision brings genuine benefits and one genuine cost.

Beyond platform: the data model
Platform aside, the same structural tests apply to any tracker. Run them on both:

- You share a household or care setup where two people need the same record: a server-backed product handles that; iCloud sync is per-Apple-ID.
We would rather you chose the right tool than chose ours. A tracker you abandon in three weeks is worse than no tracker, because it leaves a partial record that looks complete.
Frequently asked questions
Is PepCycle available on Android?
No. PepCycle is iPhone-only, because the log is stored on-device and synced through your personal iCloud rather than a server — and iCloud is Apple-only. If you use Android, a cross-platform tracker is the right choice.
Why does cross-platform usually mean a server?
Because keeping an iPhone and an Android device in sync requires a shared store that both can reach, which in practice means the developer's infrastructure. That brings web access and multi-device flexibility, at the cost of the developer holding a copy of your record.
Can I use PepCycle on an iPad?
The log syncs across devices signed in to the same Apple ID through iCloud. The experience is designed for iPhone first, which is where most entries actually get made.
What happens to my data if PepCycle disappears?
It is already on your device and in your own iCloud, and you can export a complete CSV or JSON copy at any time including vial concentrations and blend components. That is the practical test of data ownership, and it is worth asking of any tracker.
