Thymosin Alpha-1 dosage calculator

Answer

Thymosin Alpha-1 vials are commonly labelled 1.6 mg, 5 mg. This calculator divides the vial mass by the diluent volume you enter to show concentration, then converts your own target amount into millilitres and syringe units. It states no dose, chooses no amount and stores nothing.

This page is a calculation tool. The amounts you enter are values you decided; this page states no dose and gives no medical advice.

Use the mass printed on the vial label.

Enter the volume you measured.

This is your value, not a recommendation from the tool.

Use the calibration printed on the barrel.

Thymosin Alpha-1 vial concentration grid

This table answers one arithmetic question: what concentration results when a labelled vial mass is divided by a measured diluent volume? It does not select either value.

Thymosin Alpha-1 physical-property record

Thymosin alpha-1 and thymalfasin

PubChem records thymosin alpha-1 under the title Thymalfasin with formula C129H215N33O55 and molecular weight 3,108.3 g/mol. Cayman lists the same molecular weight for its reference material. Storing the thymalfasin synonym helps match country-specific or technical documents without confusing this peptide with thymosin beta-4, which is a different molecular record. Sources: PubChem: thymosin alpha-1 compound record · Cayman Chemical: thymosin alpha-1 specification.

Water solubility and frozen storage

Cayman reports water solubility at 25 mg/mL and storage at -20 C for its thymosin alpha-1 product. These are laboratory specification values for that catalog material. The calculator does not select this concentration and does not establish a stability period after solution preparation. It uses only the liquid volume actually entered for the recorded vial. Alpha and beta thymosins must remain separate

The shared thymosin family name is not enough for identity. Thymosin alpha-1 and thymosin beta-4 have different formulas, molecular weights and sequences. A strong record includes the Greek-letter family designation, thymalfasin synonym if present, source catalog, lot and chemical form. This page's sources are deliberately specific to alpha-1 so the neighboring TB-500 context cannot leak into its physical facts. Scope of the alpha-1 calculator

The live tool performs mass-per-volume and unit conversion. It does not infer potency, regulatory status in a particular country or equivalence between products. Molecular weight and solubility are displayed as cited identity and handling references, not as amount-selection inputs. The page states no dose, gives no schedule and does not turn the supplier's 25 mg/mL test into a preparation instruction. How to use the calculator

  1. Read the total mass from your own vial label and enter it in milligrams.
  2. Enter the diluent volume you actually measured, not an intended or remembered value.
  3. Enter your own target amount and select the calibration printed on your syringe barrel.
  4. Record the concentration with the result so the syringe-unit figure remains interpretable later.

Source and identity record

Use the compound reference page and these external database searches when checking identity: PubMed literature search for Thymosin Alpha-1 · PubChem compound database · PubChem: thymosin alpha-1 compound record · Cayman Chemical: thymosin alpha-1 specification. A database record does not authenticate a vial.

Frequently asked questions

How much bacteriostatic water for a 1.6 mg Thymosin Alpha-1 vial?

This calculator does not choose a diluent volume. Enter the volume you decided to add to the 1.6 mg vial and it will show the resulting concentration. The page supplies arithmetic, not an instruction.

How much bacteriostatic water for a 5 mg Thymosin Alpha-1 vial?

There is no universal volume selected by this page. Use the value you measured or were instructed to use; the calculator then divides the 5 mg label mass by that volume.

Does the Thymosin Alpha-1 calculator recommend a dose?

No. The target amount is always entered by the user. The tool provides no starting amount, maximum amount, progression, frequency or schedule.

Why does the syringe calibration matter?

A syringe unit is a volume marking. U-100, U-50 and U-40 barrels use different numbers of units per millilitre, so the same solution volume produces different markings.

Stop recalculating this every time

PepCycle stores each vial once — mass, diluent volume, concentration — and converts automatically for every entry after that, in both directions, including entries you backdate.
