Semax dosage calculator
Semax vials are commonly labelled 5 mg, 10 mg. This calculator divides the vial mass by the diluent volume you enter to show concentration, then converts your own target amount into millilitres and syringe units. It states no dose, chooses no amount and stores nothing.
This page is a calculation tool. The amounts you enter are values you decided; this page states no dose and gives no medical advice.
Semax vial concentration grid
This table answers one arithmetic question: what concentration results when a labelled vial mass is divided by a measured diluent volume? It does not select either value.
| Vial mass | Diluent | Concentration | Same concentration |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 0.5 mL | 10,000 mcg/mL | 10 mg/mL |
| 5 mg | 1 mL | 5,000 mcg/mL | 5 mg/mL |

Semax physical-property record
Semax naming and molecular record
PubChem records Semax under the peptide title ACTH (4-7), Pro-Gly-Pro-, with formula C37H51N9O10S and molecular weight 813.9 g/mol. Cayman lists a Semax acetate product with molecular weight 872.0 g/mol. The naming and mass difference show why the full chemical form should be copied from the certificate rather than reduced to the short name Semax. Handling data for the acetate product
Cayman reports water solubility at 10 mg/mL and storage at -20 C for its Semax acetate reference material. That is a catalog-specific test result. It is not a universal liquid-volume range, and this calculator does not prefill its volume field from the value. A different salt, purity or excipient package may behave differently even if the front label uses the same short name. Sources: Cayman Chemical: Semax acetate specification.
Preserve the sequence descriptor
The expanded PubChem title links the product name to a particular peptide sequence descriptor. That descriptor is useful when checking whether a certificate and database refer to the same molecule. Recording only the trade-style name removes that protection. A strong Semax lot record keeps the sequence wording, acetate or free-form status, source catalog, lot, labelled mass and actual liquid volume together. What the page deliberately does not infer
The linked sources support chemical identity and one supplier's physical specification. They do not verify a separate vial, set a beyond-use date or establish a medical amount. The calculator performs mass concentration arithmetic from values entered by the user. Molecular weight is shown for identity checking, while reported solubility remains a cited property rather than an instruction to add a particular volume. How to use the calculator
- Read the total mass from your own vial label and enter it in milligrams.
- Enter the diluent volume you actually measured, not an intended or remembered value.
- Enter your own target amount and select the calibration printed on your syringe barrel.
- Record the concentration with the result so the syringe-unit figure remains interpretable later.
Source and identity record
Use the compound reference page and these external database searches when checking identity: PubMed literature search for Semax · PubChem: Semax compound record · Cayman Chemical: Semax acetate specification. A database record does not authenticate a vial.
Frequently asked questions
How much bacteriostatic water for a 5 mg Semax vial?
This calculator does not choose a diluent volume. Enter the volume you decided to add to the 5 mg vial and it will show the resulting concentration. The page supplies arithmetic, not an instruction.
How much bacteriostatic water for a 10 mg Semax vial?
There is no universal volume selected by this page. Use the value you measured or were instructed to use; the calculator then divides the 10 mg label mass by that volume.
Does the Semax calculator recommend a dose?
No. The target amount is always entered by the user. The tool provides no starting amount, maximum amount, progression, frequency or schedule.
Why does the syringe calibration matter?
A syringe unit is a volume marking. U-100, U-50 and U-40 barrels use different numbers of units per millilitre, so the same solution volume produces different markings.
